New Zealand Energy Strategy With the ambitious goal of having 90% of all of the country’s electricity being drawn from renewable sources by 2025, this strategy was released in October 2007. It’s not just theory either, as it contains a plan to start actively implementing it. The New Zealand Energy Strategy isn’t aimed just at conserving the resources, but also reducing emissions. National Environmental Standards It has also been a policy of the NZ government to establish high-quality standards for all-natural resources.
